As the Vietnamese youngest reporter at the time, I contributed to high-quality journalism as a regional press assistant, ensuring accurate and timely content creation for one of Korea’s most respected publications.

Process

Conducted in-depth research and data analytics on social, economic, and political issues and produced insightful reports for decision-makers.

• Generated ideas for the "Chao Vietnam" column, assisted the Korean correspondents to gather information and conduct interviews, research and analysis, increased readership for the “Chao Vietnam” column by 25% within the first quarter of taking charge.

• Established and maintained strong relationships with external partners and sources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of news and updates.

• Covered notable stories such as the “You Drink, I Drive service", Evolving relationship between Vietnam and South Korea through football culture", "Anti-Korean sentiment on the rise in Vietnam amid the spread of COVID-19", "Followed divorced mother to Vietnam… Korean citizenship in red", "My child can’t speak Korean… Korean father cries again today", "100 million people united by soccer: “Since we won the soccer championship, the economy will do well too", "Is it love? … The difficult problem posed by the non-face-to-face international marriage between Korea and Vietnam during COVID-19."

• Covered important Vietnamese national events such as ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020, The 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, etc.

• Improved the resident office management process, reduced turnaround time by 30%. Responsible for the Hanoi office's admin tasks (ledgers, expenses, PIT, visa and work permit procedures, accounting, etc.)

• Translated documents, interpreted meetings and interviews.
